So here it is, the final Weekly Review of the season. What was there to be won has been won, all that could be lost has been lost. The winners and losers in the Premier League ultimately dictate who wins and loses at tPs, so what did Man United's title victory and Reading's relegation do in this most important Week 19? Click the link below to see…

Birmingham vs Blackburn:
A tough last, must-win game for Brum turned out to be easy enough to negotiate, albeit thanks to three lateish goals. T'was not enough though, and the Blue Noses go down after just one season at the top. Punters had a feeling the battling spirit would provide a home win with 30 of the 76 who took part getting it spot on.

Chelsea vs Bolton:
The onus was on Chelsea to get themselves ahead of Man United and hope that the result at Wigan would go their way. Sadly for Grant's boys this never happened. They did take the lead but only after United had done the same at the JJB. Bolton then rubbed salt in the wound by equalising meaning that not only were Chelsea fans disappointed but so too were punters. A massive 10.55 points each were lost on this one.

Derby vs Reading:
Poor Reading. Having not scored since the late 80s, they finally smashed a few in the old onion bag but, with Fulham edging past Pompey, it was not enough. Reading's brief flirtation with the big boys has ended, and far be it for this Swindon fan not to find it all rather amusing. Hehe! Sorry.

Everton vs Newcastle:
The Toffees cemented another season of underwhelming UEFA cup football with this win over Newcastle. Everton's strength continues as they buzz around the big boys. Time will tell if King Kong Kev will be able to drag Newcastle to such a level next season.

Middlesbrough vs Man City:
Crikey! What a bizarre game at the Riverside. 8-1? No-one saw that coming, either from the perspective of 'Boro scoring 8 or Sven's last game being such a drubbing. Only two punters even gave the home side a chance of scoring more than 2 goals. Big Phil might have some work to do…

Portsmouth vs Fulham:
Forget the games at the top, the match at Fratton Park had much more riding on it, and in terms of drama it didn't fail to produce the goods. The result here directly affected the futures of three sides, and for a long time it looked like Fulham themselves would be on the receiving end of the dreaded hand of relegation. But Danny Murphy's second half condemned Reading and Birmingham to the drop no matter what happened at Pride Park or St Andrews.

Sunderland vs Arsenal:
Theo Walcott's winner at the Stadium of Lite meant that Arsenal finished just four points adrift of the champions, not bad for a side written off by everyone nine months ago. Sunderland have done well to not be involved in the relegation scrap this season and many will now be looking to Keane's side to push on next season.

Tottenham vs Liverpool:
Liverpool ended their season with a good win at Spurs and another goal for Rookie of the Year Fernando Torres. A campaign to forget for Tottenham, and all eyes will be on Berbatov's expected move away from the lane, and just who they get in to fill his boots. Spurs to challenge Everton for fifth next season? Probably? Liverpool to challenge the Big Three for the title next season? Definitely not.

West Ham vs Aston Villa:
The Claret and Blue Derby ended in stalemate and a season of mid-table obscurity for both sides. It's difficult to know who will be the more pleased of Curbs and O'Neil. West Ham have come on in leaps and bounds since they were harshly denied relegation by the FA a year ago, and Villa have a great little squad coming along. One would imagine it' the Brummies who will be pushing on next season.

Wigan vs Man Utd:
Leave the best until last, they say, and so it happens that the last game in the last Weekly Review of the season salutes the champions Man United. Fittingly it was Player of the Season Ronaldo and ten-times winner Giggs who scored the goals in this 2-0 win over Wigan, a game which United never looked like losing, especially since they had the ref firmly under their thumb for most of the game. Pleasing for the Champs, great for punters too, who won 18.72 points each on this one.

After 19 grueling weeks, we have a very worthy League Champion. Please put your hands together for KEV79 who won the tPs 2007/08 Spring League with a total of 613 points. Kev scored 34 points this week, the same as his closest rival Scoot, ensuring that he stood firm to take the title. Kev wins a handsome prize of £50 to spend at Amazon for his superb achievement, plus the title of Champion which is worth significantly more! Scoot's end of season wobble saw her relinquish her long held lead at the top, but she takes £25 as her reward for an excellent campaign. DaveVVV scored the highest points in Week 19 – an excellent 61 – and as a result he leapfrogs CJ into third place in the League. Added to the £15 he wins from this is £30 for being the May Punter of the Month! A great result for Dave! CJ takes a tenner for holding on to fourth place in the league.

Elsewhere, Jax took the Cup prize, £30, after winning 95-83 over Katie's Krusaders. Finally, the best single week's score of the entire 2007/08 season was Agentv's 118 points just before Christmas. AgentV takes a huge £50 for this superb achievement.

Congratulations to all our winners in this superb season at tPs!
