The much maligned penalty shootout is the cruelest way to decide a game. The pain is just that much worse than actually being beaten! Naturally, we want to bring our own brand of heartache to tPs, so it is with great pleasure that we introduce our new game: Sudden Death.

Here's how it works:

* Each week we will provide a list of all the teams featured on the normal prediction form. Your task is simple: Pick a winner.

* If your chosen team wins, you stay in the game and can play again next week. If they do not win, you're out. No second chances, no waiting to see how others have done, just Sudden Death.

* If you forget to pick a team, hard luck, you're out.

* You might be thinking that this sounds a bit easy. Well, we've added a tricky twist. You can only ever pick a team once. So, if you pick Chelsea one week, they will not be available for you to pick again.

* In the event of a game being postponed or abandoned, the tPs Pools Panel will decide which team would have won, or if it would have been a draw. The result will be determined from the REGULAR PREDICTIONS of ALL PUNTERS in the normal prediction form, ie, NOT the Sudden death predictions. Therefore, in Week 35 more punters predicted a Fulham win than a Sunderland win or a draw, so punters who chose Fulham in Sudden Death were awarded a win.

* The game continues until there's only one punter left - the winner! Of course, it's quite likely that no-one will win. But don't worry, if everyone gets knocked out, the game will start again.
